Who is Bay Area Showcase Chorus?

Bay Area Showcase Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, is an award-winning a cappella chorus comprised of nearly 100 women of all ages, vocal ranges, and musical backgrounds. Our music varies from traditional barbershop favorites to contemporary songs, all arranged in close 4-part harmony.

In addition to performing in the community, we also compete with other Sweet Adelines choruses in regional and international competitions. Our most recent competition was September 2019 in New Orleans, where we placed 14th in the world. Watch our performance here.

Our mission is to educate and empower women to excel in singing 4-part harmony in the barbershop style.

Visit Us Anytime!

Guests are always welcome at our rehearsals, on Thursdays at 7:30pm.  You may visit on Zoom any week, or join us in person on weeks when the covid circumstances (which may change from week to week) permit in-person rehearsals.

In Person - Guests who are FULLY VACCINATED may sing on the risers with us. We have carefully measured the air exchange and ventilation at our rehearsal venue in Milpitas, and we follow all current recommendations of the CDC, state of California, and Santa Clara County.

Please CALL FIRST (408-973-1555) so we can explain our health & safety protocols that must be observed, and give you directions to the venue.  You will be warmly welcomed as we respect your individual comfort level.

Over Zoom - We'll continue to broadcast rehearsals on Zoom, allowing immunocompromised, unvaccinated, and out-of-town members and guests to participate. Please contact our director Julie Starr (director@singharmony.org) who will send you the Zoom link..
